The Inaugural Edition carried the name of renowned Egyptian film director Dawood Abdel Sayed. It took place between the 25th and 30thof April, 2022 at the Universal AMC Cinema at Citywalk, Hollywood and virtually globally in celebration of the Arab American Heritage month. The attendees included a number of Arab industry icons & filmmakers who contributed to highlighting the uniqueness of Arab cinema.
