The objective is to connect and build a bridge between film professionals in the Arab World.

The Project Market

Over three days, select teams will have the opportunity to pitch their projects to industry professionals and potential buyers and to be in the running for the HAFF Project Market prizes. The HAFF Project Market will select five director-producer teams working on narrative feature film projects in the late stages of development.

The Industry Talks

HAFF Industry Talks consist of curated talks and panels focusing on the latest industry trends and themes. The goal is to exchange ideas among industry professionals and propose solutions for current challenges facing Arab filmmakers in the industry.

The detailed Industry Talks program and guests will be available before the upcoming edition of the festival.

Application Criteria & Coverage

Eligibility Criteria:

Please read carefully before you start filling in the form:

Applicants must be of Arab origin living in the Arab world or the diaspora.
The project must be a narrative feature film in the late stages of development with a completed script draft, estimated budget, and financing plan.
A director and a lead producer must be attached to the project at the time of application.
The director must have a proven track record of work such as previous short film(s) and/or feature film(s)
If selected, the director and the producer must attend the market.
Applicants must have a valid passport.
Applicants must have a good command of the English language.
Producers may apply with up to two projects. Directors can only apply with one project. Each project requires a separate application form and a separate application fee.

HAFF Project Market will cover:

Director and Producer travel expenses to/from Los Angeles
Accommodation for 5 nights at the festival’s hotel hub including breakfast.
Airport pickup and drop-off
A daily stipend
Festival accreditation with full access to all the screenings and festival events.
Invitation letter for visa process.
